About the Centre
The Centre for Gambling Research aims to undertake research that provides policy makers and service providers with improved understanding and recognition of the continuum of gambling problems in the community and consequent service provision needs.
The main research interests of the Centre include investigating:
- The social and economic impacts of gambling;
- The development of prevention strategies, harm minimisation measures and treatment of problem gambling;
- The regulation of gambling;
- The nature of the gambling industry; and
- Consumer education initiatives on gambling.
