O-Week: Semester 1, 2017

Attendance at Orientation week (O-week) is essential as the range of events are designed to help you succeed in the early stages of your program and get a taste of what university life can offer. The 2017 O-week program begins Monday, 13 February 2017 and if you are moving into an ANU residence check with the residence the date you will need to arrive, as it will be before Saturday 11 February 2017.

Studying a degree in the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences? Attend the induction session on 13 February 2017 to get the essential information. Advisors from both the CASS and CAP Student Offices will be available to discuss about course selections for your first year during both O week and week one, check the student offices opening times on the CASS Orientation week page.

Register now for the ANU welcome and information session on the first day of O-week. O-week is a great opportunity to help you prepare for study: you will receive important information about your academic college, residential life/non-residential alternatives, student support services, visa requirements for international students, program and course advice and academic skills development. International students also need to open an Australian bank account, familiarise yourself with the health care system and organise everything you need to make your new accommodation feel like home. It's important to arrive before O-week and give yourself enough time to do all this before beginning the academic year.

The program also includes informative and fun events organised by ANUSA and PARSA, so explore the program below and add events to your calendar now. If you have questions you can ask current students on the New@ANU Facebook group or email us.
