Future students

Through its strong history in research and teaching excellence, the School of Sociology offers future students an array of opportunity to meet, learn from and become a part of Australia's leading collection of Sociologists.

Sociology at the ANU is one of the social sciences along with anthropology, economics, demography, gender studies, history, political science and is inter-related in numerous other fields of study.

Undergraduate students can choose to study Sociology and/or these other disciplines through the three-year Bachelor of Arts program.  For comprehensive details of the Bachelor of Arts with a sociology major.  Honours (effectively fourth-year) is available for high achieving students.

Graduate students can elect to study either by course-work or by research depending on their specific areas of interest.
