Sociology recognised in 2018 CASS education awards

The ANU School of Sociology has received two awards for excellence in the 2018 CASS education awards.

The first award saw Dr Maria Hynes receiving the CASS excellence in supervision award. Dr Hynes has supervised a research students in recent years, spanning the areas of human/animal relations, mobile technologies and affect, the Anthropocene, and the Internet of Things. Congratulations Dr Hynes on this well-deserved recognition.

A second honour saw recent Sociology graduate Jessie Liu 'highly commended' for excellence in Tutoring. Jessie tutors SOCY1002: Self and Society and was awarded the University Medal upon her graduation in 2018.

Congratulations to both Maria and Jessie.
