Benjamin's research explores the backstage of discourse production online health support spaces, unpacking the moderators’ and other mechanisms of social control role in shaping narratives the forum-goers construct about themselves and their illness online as well as how this shaping of narratives may transfer to practices they perform outside of online spaces.
