Jessie completed her undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (Psychology) and Honours degree at the ANU and commenced her PhD in February 2020.

Jessie is researching the infant formula daigou trade between China and Australia, and working to better understand the mechanisms of the trade, as well as the Australian and Chinese discourses that surround it. Her research aims to a more nuanced understanding of China-Australian ties, and one that highlights the complex entanglements that occur outside of state actors.

Qualitative research methods, gender, race, racism, and anti-racism, food politics, and transnational flows.
