Josh holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Languages, with a first-class Honours in Anthropology completed in 2024. He commenced his PhD in the School of Sociology in mid-2026.

Josh is interested in how methods of pain management intersect with patient experience, drawing on doctor/patient experiences of endometriosis. His thesis, 'Pain in practice: Developing a cross-cultural ethnography of endometriosis pain', will draw on multiple field sites to analyse the affordances and limitations of various practices in the treatment of endometriosis.

Outside of study, Josh enjoys walking in the beautiful nature of the ACT and making music.
