Work in TMI blends critical engagements with emerging technologies, empirical and theoretical analysis of processes of change at all levels of social life, and crafting tools to address the challenges of large-scale shifts in infrastructures, media and everyday life.

There is a strong focus on civil society and institutional engagement: highlighting and countering the inequalities and marginalisation that technologies can often opaquely leverage and charting their unintended consequences.
